I like the grips that Pachmayr used to make for Dan Wessons, so at some point I decided to see how many different types I could acquire for small frames (square hole). This is what I have so far.
The first pic shows Grippers (DW-G) without and with Pachmayr medallions. The top right are small Presentation (DW-S) with and without medallions. bottom three are large Presentation (DW-L) with Pachmayr medallion, plain, and with factory DW medallion.
The second and third pics, I tried to compare the modest size difference of small and large Presentation models.

Nice presentation of the Pachmayr choices. I am a real strong believer in the Gripper as the BEST Combat type grip for a revolver.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I have 2 Grippers, and I always resist the urge to buy more.
I will say that for really hard thumping, full house .357 Mag ammunition in a 6-8" barrel a full grip is better for me, but in 4" the Pachy or an LB Gripper is perfect.

I have a DW grip fetish I think. Among my many, many grips are a lot of Pachys. The Gripper with DW medallion may have been an option from the factory but they came standard with a Field Pistol Pack. Small frame gun in 357 or 32 mag. I am not sure if other calibers like 22 came with the Field Pistol Pack. Does anyone know?
There is also a large frame Presentation grip called the Decellerator. It is identical to the large frame Presentation grip but has a second round hole inside in front of the tang hole. The grip is softer because of that. Don't tell anyone, I am trying to keep it a secret.

When I saw this thread it made me want to check my own rubber grips...I thought I had one for a 15 but I believe it sold with a frame...anyway I did discover that the one I have for my .44 is indeed a Decellerator as described above by Ole Dog....love the history and always trying to learn
